Smita Agarwal

Founder

Smita Agarwal has worked in the development and CSR space for three decades. She has held leadership positions with Tata Steel CSR, American India Foundation, and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. She has addressed deeply entrenched development issues, created solutions, taken them to scale, and also effected policy shifts. Strategy and design are the core elements of her work Smita has spent a decade with Tata Steel as Head Education, CSR. Their fagship education program conceptualized and led by her has won national, state and international awards. Her pioneering work in distress seasonal migration at American India Foundation was lauded widely, and a book authored by her on the subject has a foreword by Nobel Laureate Prof Amartya Sen. She has worked across many states and sectors, but her main expertise lies in the feld of Education. Smita has in-depth understanding of social mobilisation, collaboration and advocacy. She has served on the Governing Board and Executive Council of Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation, evaluated programs of UN, Tata Group and government agencies, and been an advisor to many organisations.

Alka Talwar

Founder

Alka Talwar is a former Chief CSR and Sustainability Officer with more than 35 years of experience in the field. She is the former Chief CSR & Sustainability Officer of Tata Chemicals. Currently, she is a Director on the Board of Common Purpose India and a Trustee on the Boards of Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development, Okhai- Centre for Empowerment, Kiran Foundation and Trust Community livelihoods. She has been a part of several committees and working groups of various industry bodies, the Tata Group and in Govt. and Non Govt. Organizations, which included work on climate change, water mission, business & human rights, business and bio diversity, affrmative action and Tata Strive. She is also the recipient of the “2019 - Leading Women Award in the excellence category “ conferred by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) for her achievements in the eld of sustainability and for promoting the SDGs.

Dipa Sinha

Panel Member

Dipa Sinha is a Development Economist with about 20 years of experience in teaching, research and policy advocacy. Her areas of expertise include social policy, especially related to public health, food and nutrition, gender and child rights. She has been a full time Academic, teaching at the Ambedkar University Delhi, for about nine years, where she taught undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as supervised research scholars. Prior to that, she has worked as a senior researcher and adviser with the Office of Commissioners to the Supreme Court, on the Right to Food. She has independently managed research studies and has been part of large international research collaborations. She has been a member of various policy-related committees of the state and union governments in India as well as on the governing bodies/advisory groups of independent organizations. She works closely with civil-society networks and campaigns in India and globally. She is involved actively with the Right to Food campaign, India. She writes regularly in national and international journals, newspapers and magazines.

Kabir Sharma

Panel Member

Kabir Sharma is a systems thinking and modelling specialist with expertise in sustainability and climate change. He applies participatory systems methods to co-create insights on development and sustainability and build systemic strategies with organizations. Some of his recent work has included identifying climate linkages of non-climate focused projects, modelling city, national level net-zero plans, working with communities and NGOs on climate adaptation & groundwater and co-creating systems theory of change of programmes. He is Founder of DESTA, a methods-firm dedicated to applied systems thinking Previously, he has held positions with TERI, ATREE, and CPR, among others. He holds dual master's degrees in physics and engineering.

Tejinder Singh Bhogal

Panel Member

He has co-founded the consultancy company Innobridge Consulting Pvt. Ltd. He has authored/co-authored three books including, “Feminist Mentoring for Feminist Futures”, CREA, 2021, and “T-Group Facilitation: Theory and Practice of Applied Behavioural Science”, Routledge, 2022. A graduate in agriculture and a post graduate in Rural Management. He has worked with the National Dairy Development Board and PRADAN, a national level NGO. For the past 26 years he was worked as an OD Practitioner and Mentor/Coach. He is a professional member of the Indian Society of Applied Behavioural Sciences. He is also a fellow of LEAD-India.
